Re: Dismay over lack of direction!

My view is that we are heading into Chargergeddon: its a fat lot of use providing 1,000 more public-run chargers in Scotland and not ensuring a fair and consistent plan for ongoing maintenance and support. As an early adopter, I dont mind paying my fair whack: but at this rate of expansion, this is ...

Re: Home charger installation

I'm lucky, we have three phase here, so both cars can charge side by side. I'm another person who 'asked' my wife to apply for chargepoint #2, and we went for the rather quirky and amazing Zappi, so we can charge off the solar panels here in - eh-hem - sunny Lanarkshire. Have to say, we were very pl...

Re: Dead , innit?

Yup.
It's dead.
I tried my best: using all kinds of cheapskate Tabloid tricks to raise the circulation (and the blood pressure), but sadly. all efforts failed.~
RIP
Facebook wins.
Lets close it down.

Re: Dead , innit?

I think we need to be more combative: there are some dark forces out there: odd people who huddle in car parks, and rather than attempt to make peace with them: we would have a more lively discourse if we just took them by the neck and strangled them: just for fun, it would bring back some dialogue ...

Re: Dead , innit?

OK: well, here is my revival attempt: my feeling is that maybe a face to face regular social might work better, where social media fails: Stephen Rhoden and I have been chatting online, and this is what we came up with as a suggestion: it may work, it may not, but it is worth a try. I wonder if EVAS...

Dead , innit?

Lets close this forum down: nobody can be bothered with it anymore. Facebook and Twitter are fine.

Re: Public Charging Problems Log

OK, well (see other thread) after six years of Leaf Chademo, we have finally migrated to the Kona CCS standard for our third EV: I'm obviously slightly nervous about some of the reports of Ecotricity chargers both in Scotland and Englandshire failing on CCS. What's your advice: give them a try, or a...

Re: Aberdeen(Westhill) to Great Yarmouth(Gorleston)

I've done that trip (or similarish) twice from Kilsyth to Cambridge in the 30 kWh Leaf, and once in the 24 kWh Leaf, and probably charged at least six or seven times each way. But that was in summer. Agree about the A66 , but the weather is a critical factor too. What was the longest leg on one char...

Re: Energy Saving Trust Grants

Hmm, we have these delights to come in March... and yes, its a click to buy Kona. I'm not sure our credit cards will run to £30K !
Might be worth applying for a bank load as Plan B: but I gather EST wont lend money if the car is already owned.
