Re: New Charge Point at Whitmuir Organics

Work in Borders and 100% agree the T2 charging is lacking. Have to admit I had not even heard of this location. Do they do chips? When I visit my sister in Carnwath, I am coming from East Lothian and go via the A702 (along the back of the Pentland Hills passing through West Linton). Is poor how litt...

Re: Change in plug-in grant

Not sure what cars are in what category? I'd have a bit of sympathy for BMW if their i3 Rex was cut completely from grant eligibility and grouped with the GTE golfs, Outlander and the like. It hasn't really worked to well anyway has it? I couldn't help but feel a bit cynical about the old £5k grant ...

Re: 2014 Nissan Leaf Visia plus

Congrats on the sale. Nissan dealers are utterly hopeless re if a 3.3 or 6.6. I could write stories why I think this but will spare you. And online car ads from Nissan dealers often don't even mention such an important detail as to if it is 3.3 or 6.6 (probably because they don't actually know for s...

Re: Forum seems very quiet?

Chunkybuns car, seems a decent buy to me, and interests me at the right price. I am also trying to sell my Silver 2012 Ion with 80m range summer, 60 mile range winter. 16kW battery, full bars, low approaching 23,000 mileage, great condition, comes with both charging cables (3-pin portable and long T...

Re: Fountainbridge queues for charging

The Fountainbridge charging has got busier over last year, and it is always had issues that were only going to multiply 10 fold. I haven't used for a few months, but there has also been the issue of a car club car parked at Rapid for days at a time. I am not sure who owns the chargers to be honest, ...

Re: Sweeping Statement Alert

Is hard to see the time based thing working. If you get charged at a higher rate after say 1hr of charging on a Rapid, is that really going to bother say many Tesla drivers? It may also just mean some drivers work the system by ending the charge then restarting it after around 1hr. These adjacent 7-...

Re: Sweeping Statement Alert

A rex i3 Is clearly not comparable with an Outlander, or those even more ridiculous 3kW "rapid" charge rate GTE golfs. It is also clearly not a pure BEV. Whatever it is though is a car with a good elec range, but also a car that takes up to 1hr 30mins to charge (perhaps more in Winter) on ...

Re: No more skulking :-)

Didn't know about this Dundee place, great news. It did have to be Dundee, which already has so much electric driving wise. Dundee is not central or local for most of us, but it should encourage other specialists, maybe Edinburgh might get one next.

Re: Renault Zoe Recall

My 2014 Leaf is like this. Just pressing the "P" button to engage the Parking Handbrake is not enough to hold the car, and must also apply the foot handbrake. I was given the impression on another forum a long time ago that this was normal.

Re: 2014 Nissan Leaf Visia plus

Oh exciting. I like the Hyundia brand, my first 4kW of PV is Hyundia, and done well for many years now.

I don't know much about the Kona. Are you getting the 40kW-ish or 60kW-ish of the car?

What sort of range will you get? Is it a CCS charger?
