Re: HIYDIHO

Mmac84 if its an older leaf 24kwh and no home charger and I guess 3kw ac charger, I'm amazed you have lasted as long.
True grit and regular PITA with unsurprising frustration.
Something like you note a 2018 leaf would certainly solve your problems and make these type of problems fade away.

Re: Massive cut to elec business mileage rates! 4p/mile

All sounds sensible to me.

What if private EV'er claims 45p but sneaks a wee boost of electricity on company premises ?
I presume tax man has no interest apart for maybe BIK ?

...looking further ahead,... in my 100 kwh nissan leaf with V2g trickled charged by free-solar or low cost night-wind-tariff, one will then start work very early to get a charge point hooked up at work and set offer price of 35p+/kwh for helping the countries power needs... bugger them that need a c...

Re: Submission to The National

sounds like your fully immersed in the initial learning cycle, which was fun for me but excruciating for my wife, I expect like her you'll pull through.. been all over place from stoke to wick in my 30kw leaf which is fine, but do like 6.6kw charger and chademo, kinda feel less than 32A shouldn't be...

Re: are we making progress ?

I would like to see more destination trickle chargers, however since l can do 2--3days between charges in reality i should not need a charger & my leaf would prob be 'icing' a more deserving ev er perhaps someone that cannot get a home chargepoint. Also there is so much pressure on parking space...

Re: are we making progress ?

I'm guessing the 'free' angle also is a put off at this time for park/work/hotel owners If it was 20p kwh trickle or 40p kwh rapid, I wouldnt use it but be mighty glad on those oopshie days . . for those travelling afar the trickle bays would help greatly, but its just a chicken n egg scenario right...
