FYI: I have lodged a Freedom of Information request with NHS Grampian requesting lots of details about the decision making process of installing these chargers. I will post the response I get!

Did you use ‘What Do They Know?’ - if so, what’s the link?

Sigh... I got the FOI reply, and it every bit as pointless as I should have expected.

Translation: Well, not our problem mate, the contractor did it all!

Interesting, nevertheless - so it was outsourced to a third party as part of turnkey installation. Shame they didn’t name names, as this sub-contractor entering into an arrangement with a Netherlands operator is simply perverse. Having now tried to register, you cannot - despite their signage - use PayPal. You only get a card if you provide bank details then pay for the cross currency conversion (which, I believe will get them in hot water as you cannot pay in Sterling).

What we need is some sort of national group representing EV drivers that can have a word in the appropriate ears to get this reviewed.

These are on the NewMotion map. Is there anyone local with a NewMotion card who would like to try them (bearing in mind the lack of information on the tariff)?

(Click on the inconspicuous Find Charge Points link at the top of the page.)

They have the brass neck to show CPS locations, yet when you zoom in they change to ‘?’ Then say you currently can use your NewMotion card to access them - which is quite rich! I’ve never had the need to subscribe to their service, and I doubt I ever will.

It's a handy service for T2 points if you're driving in the Netherlands. I shall be using mine in a couple of weeks.

It also works on the Shell/Smoov rapids around London.
