Best Home Installation Co

Postby Big Spo » Wed Jul 26, 2017 3:07 pm

After some faffing about ordering a fully electric Ioniq and now being told it's not going to appear this year, and no idea when next year, I have decided to go for my original option of an i3 which will arrive in September.
In preparation I'm going to get the charging point fitted at home now.
I have been given a link to the suppliers, anyone with any experience in one of these companies and can recommend before I dive in?

Jorro are good and have done many drivers installs. They are based centrally in Stirling and pretty much cover all over.

They are flexible, and can offer options with cable length sizing, tethered/untethered. They usually install Rolec chargers. Most go for tethered for convenience, but some worry about future proofing to accommodate new cars and new types of charging. Chargers can always be altered or replaced later (or maybe even a 2nd charger added). If you are going to be home charging daily, I'd recommend tethered.

Another vote for Jorro. If you have solar panels (or plan to), the MyEnergy panel is a must.
